Celebrate the Species is a jubilant assemblage of multispecies puppetry, song, and dance that is part of the annual Vigil for Great Salt Lake. We praise the birds, the brine shrimp, and our whole ecosystem! Vigil Keepers become brine shrimp, bison, giant pelicans, kestrels, and coyotes. We fly, howl, twirl, sing, and shimmy our way around the state capitol building.

We are working in the lineage of Bloodtide, by Eli Nixon, and Bread & Puppet Theater in Vermont.

The legislators hate the puppets, so we keep making more.
